About Me

What began as just a quest to remake a broken necklace grew into a jewelry making hobby taking up many hours, many dollars and accumulating tons of beads and semi-precious stones.

In the past, Jessica believed that the creative gene was never a part of her makeup but through jewelry making, she tapped into her creative spirit and discovered a love and a dormant passion waiting to be set free.

After giving away her first creations and eventually selling her designs to co-workers and friends, she focused on making her hobby that she loved into a way to make a living. Over a short period of time with lots of encouragement, she started Jessica Designs in 2002.

In speaking specifically about her jewelry, "I naturally create distinctive jewelry by marrying colors and textures that seem an unlikely pair to create eclectic designs that captures attention and speaks to the unique beauty we all possess. Each piece becomes an extension of the person wearing one of my designs. I don't really follow trends, I let each piece design itself that keeps my creativity and unique designs flowing. Another facet of my business that I love is working collaboratively with my clients to create pieces they have dreamed up in their mind but could not find in stores. The best part is when I present them with their design and their face just lights up. What joy!"
